KuCard Application FAQ

1. Who can apply for a KuCard?

Currently, the KuCard is exclusively available to citizens and residents of the European Economic Area (EEA). To qualify, applicants must successfully complete Identity Verification using a valid identity document issued within the EEA.

The EEA includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, along with Iceland and Norway.

 

2. How do I apply for a KuCard?

Eligible individuals can apply for the KuCard via KuCoin.com or the KuCoin mobile app.

Eligibility primarily depends on residence within the EEA. There's no need for a credit check, but a valid KuCoin account and completed Identity Verification are required.

 

3. What information does KuCoin need to verify my identity?

To adhere to financial regulations and safeguard against fraud, we may request your passport, national ID, or proof of address documentation for Identity Verification.

 

4. Troubleshooting KuCard Application Issues

If you're encountering issues applying for a KuCard, ensure your Identity Verification documents meet the following criteria:

Type: An ID card, passport, or residence permit from the EEA.
Validity: Should not be expired or close to expiry.
Age: As per our Terms of Service, applicants must be between 18 and 65 years old.
If your documents are in order but you still face issues, our customer support team is ready to assist.

 

5. Common Reasons for KuCard Application Rejection

Your application might be rejected due to:

  • An invalid phone number (use numbers or "+" only, with no special characters).
  • Not qualified last name or first name filled in shipping address page when applying for KuCard (at least two characters, no special characters).

  • Not qualified shipping address (in English character only).

  • An invalid 3DS password (allowed characters include A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and most special characters; spaces are not permitted).
  • Incorrect date of birth (DOB) details.After you click Apply Now, please confirm whether the DOB information is correct or not.
  • Insufficient balance in fiat and crypto within your Funding Account for the 9.99 EUR application fee.

6. Supported Currencies for KuCard

Currently, the KuCard supports the following:

Fiat currency: EUR
Cryptocurrency: USDT, USDC, BTC , ETH, XRP, KCS
Support for more assets will be rolled out in future updates.

 

7. Accessing Your KuCard

Upon approval, you'll be able to access your KuCard on KuCoin.com or the KuCoin app.
